1. Provider and contact

lingdemy is operated by DEVTYPED sp. z o.o., ul. Władysława Warneńczyka 13 lok. 33, 39-300 Mielec, Poland, Tax ID (NIP) 8172215305, KRS 0001098974, REGON 528311560 (the “Provider”).

Contact, complaints and account matters: contact@lingdemy.com. The correspondence address is the same as the registered office.

2. What lingdemy offers

lingdemy helps you learn languages with flashcards: compare one meaning across many languages, listen to pronunciation, see IPA transcription and have typed answers checked. The full set of features depends on the plan assigned to your account.

Without an account you can view a limited number of flashcards from some languages, levels and difficulty grades (demo). The current limits and a comparison with a free account are shown in the service.

A plan defines, among others, the language pool, how many languages you can use at the same time, material levels, categories and a daily limit of new flashcards. In the basic plan you can choose up to 5 languages; adding a language to a free slot is always possible, while swapping chosen languages is allowed twice a year counted from the plan assignment, no more often than every 30 days. The daily limit of new flashcards (if the plan has one) resets at midnight; you can always return to flashcards viewed the same day. Current plan parameters are shown in the service and in “My account”.

The service is currently free of charge. Creating an account is not consent to future payments; any paid services will require separate information and an explicit order.

Content is educational. Learning results depend on your own work. Language or technical errors can be reported by e-mail.

3. Account

You may create an account if you are at least 16 years old; younger persons need the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You create an account with an e-mail address and a password, or by signing in with Google (“Continue with Google”). An account created with e-mail becomes active once you confirm the address with the link we send — you cannot log in before that. With Google sign-in, Google confirms the address.

In your account you can enable two-step login (e-mail code), change your password or e-mail address, connect Google, log out all sessions, download a copy of your data and delete your account.

Keep your password and mailbox safe. Never share passwords, codes or confirmation links.

4. Technical requirements

You need a device with Internet access, an up-to-date browser with JavaScript and the necessary cookies. Pronunciation playback depends on your browser and operating system (speech synthesis). The connection is encrypted (HTTPS).

5. Acceptable use

You must not provide unlawful content, disrupt the service, bypass security or plan limits (e.g. by creating additional accounts for that purpose), use other people’s data, or download content in bulk (e.g. with bots).

6. Termination, restrictions and complaints

The agreement is concluded when you create an account, for an indefinite period. You can terminate it at any time by deleting your account in “My account” (confirmed with an e-mail link). Before deleting you can download a copy of your data.

As a consumer, you may also withdraw from the agreement without giving a reason within 14 days of concluding it — simply delete your account or send a statement to contact@lingdemy.com. The service is free, so withdrawal involves no costs.

If security is at risk or a breach of these terms is suspected, we may restrict access to the extent needed to clarify the matter.

We may terminate the agreement and delete the account if a user seriously or persistently breaches these terms (e.g. bypasses plan limits, downloads content in bulk, disrupts the service), acts to the detriment of the service or others, or the account was created in breach of these terms (e.g. a fake or automated account). If the breach can be remedied, we will first ask you to stop it. We will inform you of the termination and its reason by e-mail, unless the law prevents it, the account is fake, or the information could hinder clarifying the breach. In case of serious breaches we may prevent creating a new account with the same e-mail address.

Send complaints to contact@lingdemy.com, describing the problem and the expected solution. We will reply within 14 days.

7. Data, content rights and changes

How we process personal data is described in the GDPR notice, and how cookies work in the Privacy and cookies policy.

Content is made available for personal learning within the service.

We will inform you about material changes to these terms in your account or by e-mail at least 14 days before they take effect. You may terminate the agreement before the changes take effect.
